God saw that you were suffering
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come with Me.”
Through tears filled years, we watched you suffer
And slowly fade away
Although we loved you deeply,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands were put to rest
God broke our hears to prove to us
He only takes the best.
